My gosh, I have totally neglected my blog. Seems like there is not enough hrs in the day to accomplish everything I want to accomplish. It's going good so far. They kids are doing good, growing up and learning lots and lots of things.
Ben is growing like weed, he LOVES books, he flips through the pages over and over, he knows the shapes and can put together the shapes puzzle with no problem, he is also talking more and more every day, at 20 months he's says an average of 20-30 words which is EXCELLENT! Here are a few favorites:
Car
Cookie
Cracker
Cup Cake
Ball
No
Yes
Mama
Daddy
Ryan
Ben
Nite (as in Good Night)
Book
Paci (short for pacifier)
Water
Agua
Nana (short for Banana)
Soup
Ryan is growing up even faster, I'm afraid my little baby is gone forever, he is fully potty trained, day/night and has been for about 5 or 6 months, he is talking more than I wish sometimes (LOL), still loves cars and has a HUGE collection of them. He now counts from 1 to 20 in english and spanish, can say his prayers in english and spanish too and can sing the ABC's, he also knows how to get mommy to do what he wants, LOL, seriously, every time I say "NO" to him he hugs me and gives me kisses on the cheek... smart little bugger... I don't always give in.. but sometimes he is just too hard to resist.
Zach is doing good in OK, still comes to visit every 2 months or so, we miss him like crazy and he misses us just as much, not much longer to go, we're looking at maybe another 10 months or so.. can't wait until the day he is home for good, I miss his cooking!!!
I am doing good at work too, fully transitioned to my new roll, Budgeting and Forecasting, things are crazy some days but I enjoy what I do and I'm learning a lot, my days are full of conference calls, meetings, file updates, etc. SO far so good!
My mother came to visit with us for a week in August, the kids and I enjoyed her visit so much, she took care of them the whole time she was here, cooked for them, fed them, gave them baths and even managed to clean the house and iron my clothes... I keep wondering how did she do it??? She also baked all kinds of goodies for the kids and taught them to decorate with icing... that was quite amusing, the kids just loved her, wouldn't you know!!!
In September, for Labor Day weekend, we went camping with my in-laws, it was an interesting experience, the first day everything went great, the second day the kids came down with diahrrea, vomit, etc... that was so not fun; the last day they were better and got to enjoy the trip a little.
This month Zach and I will be celebrating our 7th Anniversary.... WOW, time has gone by so fast. He won't be able to come on the exact date but he will be flying in the weekend after and then hopefully we will be able to go out and celebrate.
That's all for now!
